Flashback to (as he checks his old files) July 27th 2005. *Insert Wayne's World 'doodley doo' here* To quote from the first "journal entry": ... well actually I'm not going to quote from the first journal entry, because what I thought was there wasn't. Anyhow, suffice to say, I've been journaling on and off ever since this point (and before... anyone remember Xanga?) because of Carrie Bradshaw and SATC. That summer I was right in the midst of re watching the series I believe. Watching the show and hearing Carrie's column really inspired me to write I guess. My history with journaling is spotty at best, and I've usually done it when I'm in Madison, or I've been dumped.
Flash forward to August 2009, pretty much 4 years exactly since that fateful journal entry. The blame is now transferred from Carrie Bradshaw to Julie Powell. I went last Saturday and saw the film Julie & Julia. While listening to all of the voice overs in that film, I was very much inspired to write a blog. I put it out of my mind, and decided to read the book that the movie was based upon. Well that just made the want to write worse. So here we are. I don't know if I'll actually keep this up and it will become a regular occurrence. I'd like it to. I'm not in school anymore, so that might free up some time to write/ this would probably be good for me, so that I don't let my writing skills completely deteriorate. However, I am notorious (amongst myself I suppose) for starting projects and just letting them lapse. So, whether or not this will continue will be interesting to see.
A bit about me just to record this point in my life:
My name is Micah J.L. Kronlokken. I am 22 years old on the verge of turning 23 in 12 days. I am currently living in Danville, KY but only for 4 more days! I will then return to the place where my heart truly resides: North Mankato, MN. I am an Actor, first and foremost (thank you Leslie Easterbrook). I moonlight as a bookseller at Barnes and Noble in Mankato, a job that I've had for 6 almost 7 years now (!). I have two parents, who are not divorced, Rachel and David, and a little brother named Isaac, who really isn't so little anymore, as he will turn 18 in October. As an actor, I am employed (for 4 more days) by the Pioneer Playhouse in Danville, KY. The Playhouse is one of the oldest outdoor theatres in the U.S. and just celebrated it's 60th season. The most recent movie I watched: Terminator 2: Judgement Day. Currently reading: Julie & Julia by Julie Powell. I am currently sitting at The Hub, writing this eating granola and vanilla yogurt. I'm writing a blog. I feel grown-up.
I will now return to my regularly scheduled programing of Granola and reading. We'll see if I continue this at all. Just as it always happens that I start these things, it also ALWAYS happens that I stop. We'll see if I can keep this up.
Also, I don't know how I feel about that title. We'll see...
